The US actor Zac Efron (34) and the streaming giant Netflix may soon have to answer in court. As the gossip portal "TMZ" reports, citing court documents, they are being sued by a company for health and wellness products. The problem: The company goes by the name Down To Earth Organics and claims to own all rights to the "Down To Earth" name for media and entertainment purposes. This had been entered long before the travel documentation was broadcast. The Netflix show, in which Efron searches for healthy and sustainable lifestyles in all parts of the world, confuses the customer, it is said.
In addition, the tips from the series are "widely ridiculous" and incorrect and therefore harmful nutritional information is given for certain products. Among other things, Efron offers a snack bar for sale with a reference to the show. Understandably a thorn in the side of Down To Earth Organics.
