28-M Risto Mejide will moderate the first electoral debate for the elections to the Community of Madrid in Everything is a lie

Less than four weeks before the first of the big appointments with the polls scheduled for this year, Mediaset has communicated the first bombshell: Risto Mejide will be in charge of moderating the first electoral debate between the candidates for the Community of Madrid. The debate will take place next Tuesday, May 9 at 3:50 p.m. on Cuatro, within the program Todo es mentira.

The appointment, which will take place just three days after the official start of the electoral campaign, will feature interventions from their respective lecterns by Alfonso Serrano, general secretary of the PP in Madrid and number two on the list headed by Isabel Díaz Ayuso; Juan Lobato, PSOE candidate; Mónica García, candidate for Más Madrid; and Alejandra Jacinto, candidate for Podemos, reports Mediaset in a statement.

The debate will be structured around six thematic blocks that will be introduced by Marta Flich. The candidates will make their interventions following the order established by draw to answer the following question: Why are these elections key to the future of the Government of Pedro Sánchez? Next, the following five blocks will alternate to open and close: Economy and Taxes; Health, Youth and Housing; Environment; and Post-election Pacts. Finally, each participant will have their Golden Minute in reverse order to their parliamentary representation.

The program team will verify the veracity of each candidate's statements during their presentations. In addition, in the event of a dispute over a verifiable fact or data, they may request that the fact-checking team of Todo es Mentira verify it, so that the result is communicated to the viewers during the debate. For their part, the comedians and regular collaborators of the program, Antonio Castelo and Virginia Riezu, will also have a leading role in the face-to-face as commentators on the debate.
