Night operation in Frankfurt: Ten-year-old throws kitchen knives at police officers

Due to a disturbance of the peace, a patrol crew drove to an apartment building in Frankfurt-Sossenheim in the middle of the night. The troublemaker that the officials meet there is only ten years old - but violent.

A ten-year-old boy threw kitchen knives at police officers from his apartment in Frankfurt am Main. Neighbors called the police at two o'clock on Sunday night because of the disturbance, they said. A patrol drove to the apartment building in the Sossenheim district and saw a boy splashing around with a water pistol.

The boy then closed the door behind him. When the police knocked, the child reportedly started screaming and kicking the door. There were insults and threats. Finally, the ten-year-old stabbed under the door with a knife. Then he opened the door briefly and threw a kitchen knife in the direction of the officers.

He repeated this twice more until the police finally sprayed irritants and stopped the boy. Two young girls used this moment to open the door for them. The girls had previously locked themselves in a room in the apartment.

The police officers first called emergency services to take care of the ten-year-old's respiratory irritation. There was no legal guardian in the apartment. However, the officials finally reached the mother and handed her the boy over after admission to child psychiatry had been refused. The police officers and the girls in the apartment were unharmed.
