María Teresa Campos died on September 5, 2023 at the age of 82. Months after her death, RTVE will pay tribute to the communicator by broadcasting a special program.
This tribute to Campos, made in collaboration with Cuarzo Producciones, will premiere on Friday, January 5 at 10:10 p.m. on La 1 and RTVE Play. As RTVE has announced, the gala "will recognize his professional career and the support he provided throughout his career to numerous singers and presenters", in addition to the participation of artists, colleagues and friends.
The journalist's daughters will have an important role in the tribute, since the gala will have Terelu Campos as presenter, while Carmen Borrego will be in charge of directing. The event, held in the Fernando de Rojas room of the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid, will also show unpublished images from the family archive and will remember the most notable moments of her television career.
As for the guests at the tribute, Raphael, Pablo López, Vanesa Martín, Miguel Poveda, Tamara and Lorena Gómez will perform at the gala. The artists will take the stage to perform songs of special meaning to the presenter.
Also among the guests are Gloria Estefan, Chayanne, Dani Martín, Víctor Manuel, Chenoa, Ana Mena, Abraham Mateo, Pastora Soler, Carlos Rivera, Javier Ambrossi, Javier Calvo, Rocío Carrasco, Lara Dibildos, Alejandra Prat and Belén Rodríguez.
