Dame Shirley Bassey will be the headliner of a big gala at the age of 85: As the Royal Albert Hall in London has announced, she will perform in the London concert hall for the 60th anniversary of the James Bond films. In 2020, the singer said goodbye to her well-deserved retirement with her final album "I Owe It All To You". For 007 she is now interrupting her pension.

The charity concert will be held on October 4th under the title "The Sound of 007 In Concert". This date commemorates the anniversary of the world premiere of the first James Bond film "007 chases Dr. No": This took place on October 5, 1962. The focus of the concert is the music of the cult films. Bassey is world famous for three Bond songs, "Goldfinger" (1964), "Diamonds Are Forever" (1971) and "Moonraker" (1979).

In addition to Shirley Bassey, the US band Garbage will also be doing the honors. They provided the Bond song "The World Is Not Enough" in 1999. Singer-songwriter Celeste (28) will also perform and sing her interpretation of classic theme songs. The artists are accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. In November, the James Bond anniversary will be celebrated with three more concerts in the Royal Albert Hall: Daniel Craig (54) will return to the big screen as 007: The films "Casino Royale", "Skyfall" and "Spectre" will be shown shown, an orchestra plays the soundtrack live.
