The pharmaceutical group Sanofi announced on Monday the appointment of Elisabeth? Moreno, former Minister Delegate for Gender Equality, to serve on its Council for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for the next three years.

In 2020 and until 2022, Ms. Moreno held the position of Minister Delegate for Equality between Women and Men, Diversity and Equal Opportunities in the government of former Prime Minister Jean Castex.

Previously, she worked in various companies, such as France Telecom (now Orange), Dell and Lenovo or Hewlett?Packard where she was responsible for the African continent, recalls the Sanofi press release.

She will now sit on Sanofi's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee along with entrepreneur Caroline Casey and author and speaker Rohini Anand, both of whom specialize in issues of inclusion and diversity.

Created in 2022, this advisory body's role is to support Sanofi's diversity, equity and inclusion strategy, monitor progress towards achieving the goals the company has set for itself. 2025 and provide guidance to amplify its impact in this area, the company said in a statement.

Asked by AFP, a spokesperson said that Ms. Moreno's activity would be remunerated, without however being an employee of the group.
