Courts The Prosecutor's Office demands that Luis Enrique and Valverde testify for the reports of Negreira to Barça

In the statements made by the former Barça executives on the 'Negreira case' before the Prosecutor's Office, it was explained that the reports made by the then vice president of the Technical Committee of Referees, José María Enríquez Negreira, for the Barça club were addressed to the first team, to solve doubts about the regulation and its application or about the profile of the first-rate collegiate.

For this reason, in the complaint filed by the Public Ministry in the Investigating Court number 1 of Barcelona, the statement as witnesses of two former Barça coaches, Luis Enrique Martínez and Ernesto Valverde, is requested so that they can tell if they saw any of these reports.

The circumstance arises that the two were coaches at the time of Josep Maria Bartomeu and that the main investigation of the Prosecutor's Office focuses on his mandate, between 2014 and 2018, for this reason the statement of Valverde and Luis Enrique was requested, as announced by El País and judicial sources confirmed to this outlet that they ruled out summoning, for the moment, other former coaches such as Pep Guardiola and Tata Martino.

Enríquez Negreira invoiced these supposed reports through the company Dasnil 95 SL, which invoiced FC Barcelona 6.6 million euros between 2001 and 2018, when the Barcelona entity terminated its commercial relationship with the former referee. Valverde, current Athletic coach, explained that he is not aware of these reports nor did he access them.
