Poland and Ukraine qualified on Thursday March 21 for the final of the Euro 2024 football play-offs. Beaten by Iceland, Israel was eliminated.
Ukraine won (2-1) in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Poland largely dominated Estonia (5-1) at home, who played with ten men from the 27th minute and the exclusion, after two yellow cards, from Maksim Paskotsi.
Israel, whose match had been relocated to Budapest, lost (1-4). In this match, Gudmundsson scored a hat-trick for Iceland (39th, 83rd, 87th) and Traustason scored the second goal (42nd). It was Zahavi who opened the scoring from the penalty spot (31st) for Israel but he missed another in the second half. The Israelis finished at ten following the exclusion of Reviro (73rd).
