For Russell it was the first pole of his career.

Mick Schumacher drove his Haas racing car to position 15. It was even worse for Sebastian Vettel, who only managed 18th place in the Aston Martin. Before the 13th of 22 races of the season on Sunday (3 p.m. / Sky), Verstappen leads Leclerc in the overall World Championship standings with 63 points.
