is not to become A "real" high-rise building for the Deutsche Bundesbank at the end, but a new Campus, the employees will surely feel at home. The result for the Campus of the Bundesbank convinced, however, lies in the second line of the architecture, but especially on the urban development. It was, in fact, to preserve the special qualities of the place and strengthen the new buildings. That this is managed is a complex process.
The Bundesbank decided together with the city of Frankfurt, the architecture competition urban design competition upstream. A compelling reason was found figure for the new Ensemble. The main building of the Bundesbank, the defining face of this Institution, remains the city, free. The other building to match the height and volume and blend – to the extent this is possible under such circumstances – to a harmonious Whole.

On this basis, the participants of the open architecture competition, should their designs to make. 29 agencies have submitted a contribution. The procedure was anonymous. The Jury had to take a lot of time: you met finally, two days long, and named at the end of a clear first prize winner.
