Saaldorf-Surheim (dpa/lby) - A driver died in a traffic accident in Upper Bavaria. The 76-year-old woman was traveling with three passengers near Saaldorf-Surheim (Berchtesgadener Land district) on Sunday, the police said. According to previous knowledge, she wanted to turn left at an intersection and overlooked the car of a 38-year-old.
According to the police, the other driver could no longer brake and drove his car into the 76-year-old's car with full force. The vehicle and its occupants were thrown into a field. The fire brigade had to free the people. The driver died at the scene of the accident. The other three were taken to a hospital with serious injuries. The 38-year-old suffered minor injuries in the accident.
