Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) - In the process of a failed attempt to leave the country for Syria, the verdict is expected today at the Frankfurt Regional Court. The accused is a 34-year-old man who was arrested in August last year in the Turkish-Syrian border area. In Syria he wanted to take part in the armed civil war.
The public prosecutor's office requested two years and one month's imprisonment for the accused, who confessed, for preparing, among other things, a serious act of violence that endangered the state. As a result of the confession, the process originally planned for March had been significantly shortened.
