Rostock (dpa/mv) - Another player from the Rostock Seawolves' promotion team will also go hunting for baskets for the Mecklenburg basketball players in the first Bundesliga season: Tyler Nelson extended his contract with the BBL promoted team by two years until summer 2024, like the club announced on Friday. Last season, the American played a key role in the success of the playoff semifinals against Jena and the associated jump of the Seawolves into the BBL. The Rostockers have thus tied the seventh professional from the championship team to themselves.
"Tyler is still a very young player who developed incredibly with us last year and was more or less a rookie in Europe before that," said head coach Christian Held, adding: "We hope that the path he has taken seamlessly picks up where it left off last season."
