Reken (dpa/lnw) - A 69-year-old motorcyclist drove into the mower of a tractor during an overtaking maneuver in the Borken district and was fatally injured in the accident. The man was on Monday afternoon on his motorcycle on the 608 Landstraße in the direction of Reken, the police said. A tractor with a mower attached was driving in the same direction in front of him, and behind it a car, as it was called.
When the tractor swerved to turn left, the motorcyclist wanted to overtake the two vehicles on the right. According to the information, he bumped into the swiveling mower of the tractor. The L608 was still completely closed in the late afternoon and traffic was diverted. So there were no other injuries.
