Thuringia: From Thursday, masks will no longer be compulsory on trains and buses

Erfurt (dpa/th) - As of today, the obligation to wear corona protective masks is no longer applicable on Thuringian trains and buses. This is provided for in a new Corona Protection Ordinance by the state government. People who have been infected with the corona virus no longer have to isolate themselves. However, infected people who test positive are obliged to wear a mask outside their own home. They are also banned from entering and working in medical and nursing areas as well as certain communal accommodations.

At the federal level, the mask requirement in long-distance traffic will also no longer apply from Thursday. However, the FFP2 mask requirement set by the federal government in medical and nursing facilities remains.
