Erfurt (dpa/th) - The Gotha tax office, which is responsible for this in Thuringia, set 30.4 million euros in inheritance and gift tax last year. That was 4.2 million euros more than in the previous year, said the State Office for Statistics on Tuesday in Erfurt. A total of a good 2,200 tax assessments were issued in this context.
According to the information, a total of 204 million euros were inherited or given away. After deducting tax exemptions and allowances, around 150.8 million euros remained. Of this, 109.3 million were inheritances due to death and 41.5 million were gifts.
