The Vox parliamentary group has registered this Tuesday a non-legal proposal to repeal the 2010 abortion law and replace it with the plan for the "promotion of life" that the party led by Santiago Abascal has "promoted" in recent weeks in Castile and Leon.
However, and after the rejection of the Popular Party in the Junta de Castilla y León, Vox wants the main opposition party to position itself at the national level on the proposal to apply measures such as free assistance provided by clinical psychologists, the option to listen to the heartbeat of the fetus in the first trimester of pregnancy or access to 4D ultrasound.
All of them proposed for "those pregnant women who request it", have had an impact since the formation, and which unleashed a political storm in January that pushed the coalition between the PP and Vox in Castilla y León to the limit and which has already splashed the national relations between the two matches. Now, the third party in Congress forces the popular to reassess their measures, this time from the Lower House.
With this planning, Vox intends to "recover step by step" the "materialization of the fundamental right that is life" in the face of pregnancy termination policies, which in the eyes of Iván Espinosa de los Monteros, are achieving that in recent years talk about abortion "almost as if it were a contraceptive method".
