After almost two weeks of auction "online" on the part of the house Christie's , all the pieces of Banksy for sale, belonging to the collection "I can't believe you morons actually buy this shit" ("I can't believe you morons, buy this shit")", have sold for a total of 1.256.357 euros .
The auction house informed via press release that the figure has doubled even the estimates, which is close to the 661.270 euros. Bidders from 16 countries on four continents.
The work sold for a higher price has been the gold version of "Girl with balloon" ("Girl with Balloon") by 445.260 euros, beating in addition to a double record: the engraving of the artist sold for higher amount and the work is more expensive sold at Christie's at the european level.
From the 11th of September until Tuesday, 24 September, users could bid for some of the thirty works by the anonymous artist. Among them, were two engravings with the image of his popular mural "Girl with balloon". The version of the red balloon has been sold by 70.410 euros. There were also reproductions of famous prints such as "Pulp Fiction" (by 49.290€) or "Napalm" (30.980 euros), where you can take hold of the hand Mickey Mouse , Ronald McDonald and "the girl in the napalm" .
