The Tax Agency (AEAT) has rebuffed several attempts of fraud who pretended to be with the personal and banking data of the users through the impersonation of the identity and image of the Agency in electronic messages and / or text , has been reported Tuesday on its website.

The Agency explains that the fraud consisted in the sending of emails or text messages (sms) spoofing its identity and image, in reporting alleged tax refunds or payment reminders.

To do this, included a link that led to fraudulent web pages in which it is also suplantaba the image of the Agency and asking for personal and banking data.

The Tax Agency has indicated that before this type of fraud -known as "phishing" which involve the impersonation of identity to win the trust of the surfer - set in motion the necessary actions to mitigate their effect.
