After a long illness: Andrea Berg fulfills her mother's lifelong dream

"What we experienced are memories for life," enthuses Andrea Berg. The pop singer has just returned from a safari. With the ten-day trip, she fulfilled her 78-year-old mother Helga's biggest wish.

Just recently, the mother of hit star Andrea Berg, Helga cells, recovered from a serious illness. To celebrate her regained health, the "I would do it again" interpreter of the 78-year-old has now fulfilled her heart's greatest desire: the two women traveled to Africa with Berg's daughter Lena-Marie. She now told the "Bild" newspaper about her adventure vacation.

Although she had many concerns about the arduous journey, the ten-day safari was her mother's greatest wish, Berg explained. "My mom used walking sticks for the runs," she continued. In the course of the trip, Helga cells blossomed more and more. "Experiencing her like that was the greatest gift for Lena and me."

The singer continued to rave: "What we have experienced are memories for life." Each of the three women only had two trousers and two safari blouses in their backpack. "We were one with nature," she said. They would have stayed in tented lodges, showered outdoors and seen Africa's wildlife in all its glory: "We felt as if someone had opened the doors of Noah's Ark and released all the animals: elephants, zebras, giraffes, hippos, antelopes, monkeys. "

From Johannesburg we headed inland, then to the Zambezi River and through the rapids into the Okavango Delta in northern Botswana. Apparently, a trip around the world is on the agenda for Helga next. "That was just the beginning," she said to Andrea Berg.
