Athletics World Championships: Wessinghage "suffers" with the German team

Former European Athletics Champion Thomas Wessinghage regrets the bad performance of the German team at the World Championships in the USA. "Of course you suffer. But I haven't just suffered since the days of Eugene, I've been suffering for 30 years," said the 70-year-old on Tuesday at an appointment with the Rentrop publishing group in Munich. The German record from Wessinghage over 1500 meters from 1980 still applies today.
