Ulm (dpa / lsw) - In the case of an alleged 97-year-old who was found lifeless in his house in the Göppingen district, the investigators announced the cause of death. According to preliminary findings, the man died of natural causes, the public prosecutor's office and the police in Ulm announced on Friday and corrected the man's age. He is 98 years old. According to the investigations, immediate medical treatment would most likely not have saved the man's life.
His son had called the emergency services on Thursday morning because of a medical emergency, but then didn't let them into the house for hours. The rescue workers were only able to get to the 98-year-old with a judicial approval and the special task force (SEK), but then only found his death.
The autopsy should clarify whether the son bears responsibility for the death of his father. The authorities did not provide any further information on the place of residence and the parties involved.
