Baden-Württemberg: Almost every second person in Baden-Württemberg remains optimistic

Stuttgart (dpa/lsw) - In view of the war in Ukraine and the rising cost of living, almost every second person in Baden-Württemberg is still optimistic about the future. This emerges from the "Baden-Württemberg Report" on behalf of a merger of private radio stations in the state (Privat.Radio), as a spokesman announced on Wednesday.

According to this, nine percent of those surveyed stated that they were optimistic about the future. This was more likely to be the case for 37 percent. On the other hand, 28 percent of those surveyed are concerned or rather concerned. Around one in four is neutral about the future.

When asked about things to look forward to, most respondents in the south-west indicated a family celebration or meeting up with friends (59 percent). At 50 percent, almost as many people long for peace as they do for the next vacation (53 percent). On the other hand, only seven percent of those surveyed are looking forward to the World Cup in Qatar.
