Crailsheim (dpa / lsw) - A driver drove into a trailer truck braking in front of him on Autobahn 6 near Crailsheim (Schwäbisch Hall district) and was seriously injured. As the police announced on Thursday, the 22-year-old driver of a pickup truck noticed too late on Wednesday afternoon that the truck in front of him was braking due to heavy traffic. According to the information, the 22-year-old "probably fell into a microsleep". He still tried to dodge, but still bumped into the semitrailer.
Emergency services took the injured to a hospital. The 22-year-old's car was no longer drivable. The accident resulted in total damage of around 50,000 euros.
