Baden-Württemberg: driver injured in a head-on collision

Bad Herrenalb (dpa / lsw) - A 52-year-old was critically injured in a head-on collision. A 39-year-old drove her car out of her lane on district road 4331 in Bad Herrenalb (Calw district) for an unknown reason and drove into oncoming traffic, the police said on Friday. She collided head-on with the 52-year-old's car. According to the police, the impact was so severe that the man was trapped in his car and could only be freed by the fire department. The woman sustained serious injuries. The road was closed for the duration of the accident investigation.
