Baden-Württemberg: General practitioners protest with practice closures

Many general practitioners see themselves at the limit of their burden. They want to show what the consequences can be with a protest action.

Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - With practice closures and fewer appointments, general practitioners in Baden-Württemberg want to protest for better conditions in their profession. Prof. Nicola Buhlinger-Göpfarth, chairwoman of the Baden-Württemberg Association of General Practitioners, announced that the number of doctors in private practice was falling continuously, and the remaining doctors were being overburdened or overburdened. "The consequences are long waiting times, long distances and frustration." The association had called for the action. Among other things, family doctors are demanding more money and less bureaucracy in the course of digitization.

The General Practitioners Association of Baden-Württemberg is one of 18 state associations. It represents the interests of more than 4,000 resident physicians in dealings with the Medical Association, the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians, the health insurance companies and the state ministries.
