Baden-Württemberg: "Had to become active": Lambert moves to Freiburg

Freiburg (dpa/lsw) - Canadian soccer goalkeeper Gabrielle Lambert joins SC Freiburg in the Bundesliga. The 29-year-old was most recently under contract with HSC Montpellier in France and will receive a contract in Breisgau until the end of the season, as the sports club announced on Wednesday evening. "We had to be active again on the transfer market during the winter break, as Rafaela Borggräfe will be out for the coming weeks due to illness," said Freiburg department head Birgit Bauer-Schick.
