Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lsw) - The Baden-Swabian duel in the Bundesliga between TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and VfB Stuttgart will take place on Tuesday, January 24th. This was the result of the exact timing of matchdays 17 to 19 by the German Football League on Thursday. A day later, SC Freiburg welcomes Eintracht Frankfurt (both at 8:30 p.m.). The two following games on matchdays 18 and 19 will be played by the Europa League participants from Breisgau on Saturdays. FC Augsburg will come to Freiburg for the start of the second half of the season on January 28, and a week later the sports club will play runners-up Borussia Dortmund (3:30 p.m. each time).
On matchday 18 on Friday (27 January/8.30 p.m.) VfB will face DFB Cup winners RB Leipzig and then on Sunday (5 February/3.30 p.m.) host newly promoted Werder Bremen. Hoffenheim will first play Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday (3.30 p.m.) and then make a guest appearance at VfL Bochum exactly one week later (3.30 p.m.).
