Baden-Württemberg: Kretschmann is questioned in the committee of inquiry

Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann (Greens) is now to be questioned in the committee of inquiry into the police affair. The committee members put him on the list of witnesses after Friday's meeting, as committee chair Daniela Evers announced in the evening - but they could not agree on when the head of government should be questioned. The next regular committee meeting will be held on November 21st.

The committee is about sexual harassment by the police, promotion practices and the passing on of a lawyer's letter by Interior Minister Thomas Strobl (CDU). Strobl had to answer questions for almost nine hours on Friday - however, he was unable to answer many questions due to gaps in his memory.
