"If there's one thing Tim Breithaupt can do, it's running. That's why I'm assuming today that I don't have to worry about him the least," said KSC coach Christian Eichner on Friday about the greatest hope for young footballers in his squad. Therefore, the 20-year-old central midfielder will probably also be in the starting XI in the home game against Fortuna Düsseldorf on Sunday (1.30 p.m. / Sky) at the end of the English week.
Breithaupt showed a strong performance in the 7:8 penalty shootout in Sandhausen. With the goal to make it 2-2 in regular time and a converted penalty, the U19 international underlined that he has now become an indispensable part of Eichner's team. "This is a player you like to have on the pitch, as often and as long as possible," said the 39-year-old.
Karlsruhe midfielder Kyoung-Rok Choi, who made his comeback in the cup after a 140-day injury break, will probably not play again from the start against Düsseldorf, who are in mid-table and have the same number of points on 17 points.
