Baden-Württemberg: Man caught by Stuttgart Stadtbahn and fatally injured

Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - A man was hit by the Stadtbahn in Stuttgart and fatally injured. The 47-year-old fell on Friday evening for initially unknown reasons at the "Stadtbibliothek" stop between two U15 carriages, the police said. At that moment, the train was heading towards the main station and caught the man. Directly initiated resuscitation measures were unsuccessful. The man succumbed to his serious injuries at the scene of the accident. Train traffic was blocked for around two and a half hours.
