Baden-Württemberg: Medical Association wants to fight for the end of further education

Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - In the dispute over further training for homeopathy, the Baden-Württemberg State Medical Association does not want to simply accept a rejection by the Ministry of Social Affairs. "If no approval were granted, we would continue to try to find an amicable solution together with the Ministry of Social Affairs," said a spokesman for the German Press Agency.

The representative assembly of the State Medical Association decided in July to remove the additional designation homeopathy from the further training regulations. The Ministry has legal oversight of the Medical Association and reviews the amended statutes to ensure, among other things, that they comply with applicable law. Minister Manne Lucha (Greens) had declared that the planned abolition of the special qualification homeopathy was wrong.

A public participation process by the Medical Association is still running until September 5th. Anyone can comment on the plans at www.aerztekammer-bw.de.
