Sulz am Neckar (dpa / lsw) - After a collision with a car, a 74-year-old pedelec rider died as a result of the accident. The woman succumbed to her injuries in hospital on Friday, police said. According to initial findings, the senior citizen and a 21-year-old driver drove from the opposite direction on Thursday evening at the junction with a road in Sulz am Neckar (Rottweil district), both stopped – but then probably started again at the same time, so that they collided.
According to the announcement, the 74-year-old suffered life-threatening injuries. A rescue helicopter flew her to the hospital. The driver suffered severe shock, police said. Paramedics took care of the woman.
Pedelecs are electric bicycles in which an electric drive only supports the driver when he pedals himself.
