Leipzig (dpa / sn) - Compared to the previous year, the demand for energy advice offers at the consumer advice center in Saxony (VZS) has risen sharply. After the drastic price increase for gas and the announcement of the gas surcharge from October 1st, there is currently an increase in inquiries of around 70 percent, the VZS announced on Friday in Leipzig. The offers included, for example, web seminars and energy checks.
The topic of energy has become a top topic in Saxony, it said at the request of the German Press Agency. In the coming months, the VZS expects a further increase in inquiries, since the time for utility bills and energy price increases is now beginning. According to the VZS, the total number of inquiries, notifications and complaints from consumers has increased significantly compared to the previous year.
