Bad Waldsee (dpa / lsw) - An overtaking maneuver led to a fatal accident in which an 18-year-old died. Several people were seriously injured in the crash near Bad Waldsee (Ravensburg district) on Sunday evening, the police said on Monday morning. The collision was triggered by an overtaking maneuver in which a vehicle drove past two cars at once. An oncoming 34-year-old had to slam on the brakes with his car and skidded. He collided with both overtaken cars in the oncoming lane.
The man and his two children in the car were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The 18-year-old in the front of the two overtaken cars died at the scene of the accident. Her 19-year-old passenger was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Two men in the car behind were slightly injured in the accident. It is unclear who caused the accident. The person fled and is wanted by the police.
