Baden-Württemberg: "The very last piece of dirt": the engine driver complains about new trains

Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - The frustration was deep: By announcement, a train driver in Stuttgart considered his new work vehicle with a violent tirade. In a video from an S-Bahn shared on the TikTok social network, the driver complained that the train was no longer accelerating properly. "It's because we only drive around here with the very last bit of dirt." The media had previously reported.

After the video appeared, the railway is now checking the course of events and possible consequences. "The engine driver's announcements clearly exceed a limit," said a railway spokeswoman on Wednesday. Deutsche Bahn is currently working on the process internally, and it is not possible to comment on possible steps against the employee. The spokeswoman could not say exactly when the video was recorded. But it is a current case.

The announcement continued: "Please note that the new vehicles that we received are just scrap. And we can drive around with this shit here. Next stop: Schwabstraße, exit on the left."

According to the railway spokeswoman, the Alstom traction units newly ordered for the S-Bahn Stuttgart are prone to failure. "Around a fifth of these railcars are currently in the workshop in Plochingen and cannot be used." The railway expects the manufacturer to fix the disruptions as soon as possible.
