Baden-Württemberg: Train traffic after fire in the S-Bahn station is free again

Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - After a fire in the Feuersee S-Bahn station in Stuttgart, train traffic was released again on Wednesday evening. "All S-Bahn lines can run regularly again," said the S-Bahn via the short message service Twitter. Temporarily, however, there may still be deviations from the timetable.

The cause of the fire was still unclear. The route was closed in the evening, some S-Bahn only went to the main station, others stopped even further from the city center, for example in Feuerbach or Zuffenhausen.

It burned in an expansion joint, said a spokeswoman for the federal police. Open flames could be seen. There were sparks when extinguishing. The fire brigade had been on duty for more than an hour. The overhead line was also switched off.
