Ulm (dpa / lsw) - The floor laying specialist Uzin Utz increased its sales in the first half of the year. Sales increased by 11.2 percent to 246.5 million euros compared to the same period last year (221.7 million), as the Ulm-based company announced on Thursday. Earnings after taxes, on the other hand, fell to EUR 14 million after EUR 20.5 million in the first half of 2021.
The company explained that it had countered ongoing disruptions in the supply chains and supply bottlenecks in raw materials and intermediate products with flexibility and expertise.
Uzin Utz did not dare to make a forecast for the rest of the financial year. The reason for this is economic and political uncertainties and their possible effects on sales and earnings. The Ulm specialist for floor laying solutions employs around 1450 people.
