Bavaria: 1860 Munich expects "rock-hard" Duisburgers

Munich (dpa / lby) - The top starters of TSV 1860 Munich are preparing for a "hard and physical" duel with MSV Duisburg. "It will really get down to business in the Grünwalder Stadion," announced "Löwen" coach Michael Köllner before the home game on Saturday (2:00 p.m.). The energy of the fans is therefore all the more important. "If we get the community back together, we have a good chance of winning," said the Upper Palatinate.

The league leaders from Munich go into the game as favorites, but know about the individual strengths of Duisburg, who have not been defeated for six games. "They simply have a top squad," said Köllner, and named former "Löwen" kicker Moritz Stoppelkamp as a fixed point for the guests: "We need a win. That's the only thing that makes us happy."

In addition to the long-term injuries around center forward Marcel Bär, defender Marius Willsch will be absent from Munich due to adductor problems, the coach reported. Phillipp Steinhart (knee injury) has started running again.
