Bergkirchen (dpa / lby) - After a head-on collision between two cars in Upper Bavaria, a man died. The 23-year-old lost control of his car on Wednesday when overtaking another vehicle on the federal highway 471 in Bergkirchen (Dachau district) and got into oncoming traffic, the police said. He drove his car head-on into an oncoming car. The 23-year-old died at the scene of the accident.
The 42-year-old driver of the other car was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The B471 initially remained closed in both directions while the accident was being recorded. Police and prosecutors are investigating the cause of the accident.
