Winhöring (dpa / lby) - A 61-year-old driver died in an accident in Upper Bavaria. For a previously unknown reason, the man came on Wednesday in Winhöring (district of Altötting) on the federal highway 588 in the direction of Reischach on the opposite lane, as the police announced on Thursday.
There he hit a bridge component and was trapped in the vehicle. The fire brigade freed the seriously injured man, attempts by the rescue service and emergency doctor to keep him alive were unsuccessful. The 61-year-old died at the scene of the accident. There was property damage of around 25,000 euros.
