Bavaria: Driver shortage: MVV thins out regional bus services

Munich (dpa / lby) - The Munich Transport Association (MVV) restricts its offer to individual lines in the district. The Munich district office announced on Tuesday that there were no drivers. In order to avoid short-term failures, the MVV is therefore switching to an emergency timetable with a reduced offer for individual lines.

On the MVV regional bus lines 217 (Neuperlach - Neubiberg - Unterhaching) and 259 (Pasing - Lochham), the range of trips from Monday to Friday will be reduced from the previous 20-minute intervals to 20/40-minute intervals. Also on the MVV regional bus lines 240 (Harthausen - Grasbrunn - Neukeferloh) and 243 (Haar - Neukeferloh) it is becoming apparent that an emergency timetable with a reduced offer is necessary. The necessary coordination between the transport company, MVV and the district office was underway. Due to the dynamic development, timetable changes can be found in the electronic timetable information. "Passengers are recommended to find out more about their travel route in the MVV connection information before starting their journey."
