Bavaria: Expansion of the A3 in Middle Franconia - temporary closure

Erlangen (dpa / lby) - As part of the expansion to six lanes, the A3 will be blocked in parts on the next two weekends. The section between Höchstadt-Ost and Erlangen-West was affected, said the Autobahnmeisterei on Thursday. The highway will be closed from Saturday evening to Sunday morning next weekend. The following weekend from Saturday evening through the entire Sunday into the evening hours. During these periods, traffic will be diverted in both directions. The reason for the complete closure is the construction of two flyover bridges. For this purpose, steel girders are assembled and prefabricated panels are fastened within the specified periods.
