Brennberg (dpa / lby) - In a fire, several windows and a wall of the listed monastery Frauenzell in the Upper Palatinate were damaged. As the police also announced on Tuesday, a barbecue stall in the courtyard of the monastery in Brennberg (Regensburg district) caught fire on Monday. Several fire departments fought the fire on Monday. The damage amounts to around 50,000 euros.
One of the emergency services came to a hospital on suspicion of smoke inhalation, it was said. The cause of the fire was still unclear. One thing was certain: at the time of the fire, nobody was in the courtyard of the monastery, which was several hundred years old.
