Bavaria: Further no concrete trace of a 39-year-old murder

Donauwörth (dpa / lby) - Almost half a year after the television search for a murder from 1983, the police still have no concrete lead to a possible perpetrator. In February, the police presented the act of violence against a young person from Donauwörth in the ZDF program "Aktenzeichen XY... unsolved". After that, 195 tips were received by the investigators.

Most of these have now been processed, the police said on Thursday. "Among the numerous clues that have been received, there has not been any decisive clue to clarify the crime." However, further information is currently being investigated.

The 15-year-old high school student Simone Langer was attacked shortly after midnight on July 29, 1983 on the outskirts of Donauwörth. The police are looking for a pickup truck into which the girl is said to have been dragged. The student's body was discovered two months later 80 kilometers away in a forest near Allersberg in Central Franconia (Roth district) on Autobahn 9 (Munich-Nuremberg).

However, the TV search found four men from the Kronach area in Upper Franconia who were wanted as witnesses. On the way to Lake Constance, they broke down in their camper van near the scene of the crime. The then 17 to 20-year-old men reported themselves mainly because of the current media reporting, the criminal police reported. According to the current status of the investigation, there is no suspicion against her.
