Bad Reichenhall (dpa / lby) - Due to an inexplicably high level of wheel wear, no train has been running between Bad Reichenhall and Berchtesgaden since Friday. The Bayerische Regiobahn BRB announced on Monday that there should be no train traffic until at least Thursday night.
It is specifically about a steep section that should not be used for safety reasons, said a spokeswoman. BRB and DB Netz looked for the cause of the unusually high level of wear on the wheels of the trains. Alternatively, buses are used, but sometimes with different travel times than the usual trains. Shuttle trains run between Freilassing and Bad Reichenhall.
