Bavaria: Koch Honorary President of the South German Football Association

St. Leon-Rot (dpa / lby) - Ronny Zimmermann is the successor to Rainer Koch as President of the South German Football Association (SFV). As the Bavarian Football Association (BFV) announced on Saturday, the vote in St. Leon-Rot was unanimous for the largest of the five German regional associations. 139 delegates voted for the Vice President of the German Football Association for amateur football. Silke Raml was also elected Vice-President and Jürgen Faltbacher Treasurer from the BFV.

After retiring as President of the Bavarian Football Association and being appointed BFV Honorary President, Koch was also honored as Honorary President of the southern German regional association.

"Rainer Koch is a veteran of the SFV, he has been there since 1993, most recently for eleven years at the top - and it is not a farewell today either. As honorary president you are still an advisory member of the executive committee and board," explained Zimmermann.
