Bertoldsheim (dpa / lby) - A 19-year-old who had been missing for two days was found dead on Monday in Bertoldsheim in Upper Bavaria (Neuburg-Schrobenhausen district). The background to the death was initially unclear, a crime is not ruled out. According to a police spokesman, the body will be autopsied on Tuesday. It is expected that further details could only be given afterwards.
The 19-year-old came from the neighboring Swabian Rain (Donau-Ries district). On Saturday evening he was disguised as a vampire at a carnival party in Bertoldsheim. Since he did not come home from the party, he was reported missing by relatives on Sunday. The police then searched for the man with a helicopter and sniffer dogs, but initially without success.
The dead man was then discovered on a property in Bertoldsheim on Monday afternoon. The criminal police took over the case.
