Bavaria: motorcyclist dies after unsuccessful overtaking manoeuvre

Erkheim (dpa / lby) - A 54-year-old motorcyclist crashed into a tree after an unsuccessful overtaking maneuver and died. As the police announced on Monday, the man had been traveling with a group of five motorcycles near Erkheim (Unterallgäu district) on Sunday when he wanted to overtake some drivers from the group. He went off the road on a slight right turn and crashed into a tree. The motorcyclist died at the scene of the accident. The motorcycle suffered damage of around 10,000 euros.
