Bavaria: Motorists forced to stop and threatened on B2

Garmisch-Partenkirchen (dpa/lby) - Slowed down, stopped and threatened: A driver on the Upper Bavarian B2 was squeezed by two drivers, forced to stop and then threatened with baseball bats. The 36-year-old overtook an uninvolved car near Garmisch-Partenkirchen on Saturday and then stayed in the fast lane, the police said on Sunday. The two cars, which initially drove behind him at high speed, took the man in the tongs by positioning their cars in front of and behind the man's car. They then slowed the man down until he came to a stop. They then got out and threatened the man with baseball bats. The 36-year-old locked the car, dialed 911 and pushed the men aside with his car, then drove away. It was not known why they braked and threatened the man, the police currently assume that they were angry because the 36-year-old did not clear the fast lane quickly enough.
